Security View was proud to debut the Big BESSie MicroGrid-Ready Hybrid Generator at PowerGen International 2026 in San Antonio, Texas. The event brought together thousands of power generation professionals from across North America, and our team was excited to demonstrate how Big BESSie is changing the game for portable job site power.

Introducing Big BESSie to the Industry

Big BESSie is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) that functions as a standalone power source or hybridization unit for existing generators. With 15kVa 208V 3-Phase power delivery, 53.6kWh of battery storage, and 5kW of on-board power production, it delivers clean, quiet, and efficient power to job sites of any size.

Built in partnership with Victron Energy and Intelligent Controls, the system combines proven components with Victron's MicroGrid functionality. The result is an efficient, reliable, and infinitely scalable replacement for the legacy diesel generators that power construction sites nationwide.

What We Demonstrated

At our booth, attendees could see Big BESSie up close — from the trailer exterior to the internal battery and inverter systems. We walked visitors through the three core advantages that set Big BESSie apart:

Efficiency — The on-board Tier 4 emissions compliant DC diesel generator runs at its optimal rate to charge the batteries. When hybridizing existing generators, expect up to an 80% reduction in runtime.
Reliability — Built with non-proprietary components for on-site repair. Remote monitoring via Victron's VRM portal. Microgrid functionality for redundant, uninterruptible power.
Scalability — Unlimited unit paralleling through microgrid functionality, without expensive grid management products. Scale from a single trailer to a full microgrid as your power needs grow.
